At 0430 hours the team are up and dismantling tents and the last vestiges of camp ready for the trip back down the Hondo river. Seven boats leave the upper Hondo at 0730 and the rain of the last few days helps the trip negotiate the rapids and by 1330 the team reaches the mouth of the Aguachile tributary, near the mouth of the Hondo river, the main team reunites with the ichthyologists who have increased the species list for the Hondo to more than 100 species. By 1600 the entire team arrive at Rurrenabaque where the boats are unloaded and then later that evening the equipment is loaded back onto the lorry for transport to La Paz. Over the next day the majority of the team heads back to La Paz.
